Happy Easter! It’s the first day of the rest of your life! Jesus was born for us, God incarnate. Jesus lived with us, taught us, healed us and loved us. Jesus was willing to die for us, and now Jesus is returned, proving that God’s love is always stronger than death. It is the start

Palm Sunday is our first step into Holy Week. After forty days of preparing and fasting, we enter into the action of processions, last words, arrests and trials. We remember in real time the events of Jesus’ last week before he died. We commemorate his welcome into Jerusalem, his refusal to be the expected Messiah,

Holy Week is just around the corner. This Sunday is the Fifth Sunday in Lent, the last Sunday “in Lent” before Palm Sunday. Our Seminarian Matt will be preaching, so please do join us for service. Following the 10 a.m. service, if you are able to stick around and help set up for Trish’s funeral,

Peter panics, and decides they should all stay on the mountain forever (“Let us build three tents…”) Sunday is a day of

I hope you are all well, and enjoying the lovely sunshine we’ve had, while still bundling up against the cold. I have been watching the weather through my window, and really enjoy seeing the sun glint off the snow. As you know, I fell on January 27 and broke my ankle. In fact, I broke

Sunday is the Annual Meeting. It is a time for us to look back over the previous year and towards next year. It is a time for discernment – where is God calling us and how can we serve God’s mission as the church of St. Mary’s. It’s a time to celebrate and to mourn.
