This Sunday is our monthly Prayer Shawl Group. We meet after the 10 a.m. service in the Parish Hall, and sit, knit, crochet and chat. You are welcome to join us at our table, and there are other ways you can get involved. Firstly – you are always welcome to knit/crochet a prayer shawl for St. Mary’s. Secondly, you are welcome to take a prayer shawl for yourself, a friend, or other person who could use some tangible prayers. The blessed prayer shawls are in the wooden chest in the Narthex. If you take a shawl, please write down who it’s for in the little notebook on top of the chest. I am happy to bless the shawl specifically for the person receiving it, if you like.
Bingo is only a week away! On November 14 at 4 p.m. we’ll gather for Bing and Craig’s Amazing Chili. Please bring a wrapped White Elephant gift as a prize and sign up in the Parish Hall to let us know you are coming.
We are combining with Emmanuel for our Advent Retreat on Saturday, November 21 from 10-noon. We’ll be in the Emmanuel Parish Hall, and I hope you will join us for crafts, prayers and Advent preparation.
Throughout November we will continue to collect funds to purchase Thanksgiving groceries for six local families. In addition to buying food for Thanksgiving, we are often also able to give the families a Pick ‘N Save gift card. If you are able to help with the shopping on November 22, please let me know. It’s nice to have one cart per family, and one shopper per cart.
