Sunday we will be discussing the possibilities of the three Dioceses in Wisconsin (Eau Claire, Fond du Lac and Milwaukee), reuniting as a single diocese. In the early days of Episcopalians in Wisconsin, we were a single diocese – our three stained glass windows are in honor of our first three bishops for the entire

I want to sincerely thank everyone who stayed for nearly an hour after the 10 a.m. service to tidy up after Christmas. You were wonderful, efficient and thorough. We have entered the season after Epiphany and the church reflects that seasonal change. As I announced on Sunday, Carol McConnell’s funeral service will be Saturday, January

Sunday is Baptism of Our Lord, the First Sunday after Epiphany. As such, you will see that the magi have made it to the stable, but after the 10 a.m. service it is time for them to be stored away for another year. If you are able to stick around after the 10 a.m. service,

Today is the start of the calendar year. It’s New Year’s Day, and what better way to start the new year than with a reminder of God’s saving acts in history? The Biblical stories we hear this day are familiar, so it’s hard to remember that they are truly transformative. We start our service by

We have three outreach projects: collecting gifts for the youth at Lad Lake; selling ornaments to support the Hospitality Center; and our annual Christmas Offering. I hope you will continue to support these many opportunities for Outreach. If you would like to volunteer your time, please sign up to help serve a meal at the

Happy Advent! As we enter into this preparatory season, we are pushed from within ourselves and from the outside world to do more and more and more. Have we decorated? Shopped? Baked? Strung lights? Wrapped? Planned? Achieved world peace? I will tell you a secret, Christmas will come even if you do none of those

Happy Christ the King Sunday! Lectionary Year C draws to a close, meaning that we will soon be reading predominantly from Matthew’s Gospel and say goodbye to Luke’s Gospel. Living in a democracy that said goodbye to a monarchy 250 years ago, it is worth considering what it means to claim Christ as our King.
