From Mother Pippa 5.17.2026

We are polishing the church to a high gloss! Stanley Steemer was here this weekend to clean our floors, and Sunday we are going to be make our windows sparkle! Please bring your favorite window cleaner and help us scour all our lovely windows.

Weather permitting, this Sunday we will have our 10 a.m. service down by the river. We had gorgeous weather two weeks ago for 8 a.m., and will hopefully enjoy the sunshine and nature once more. Please feel free to bring a lawn chair from home, or you can grab a folding chair by the shed.

We are continuing to collect recipes for the St. Mary’s cookbook, and we need your help! We could use your recipes, but we also are asking for nominations – food you’ve tasted and would love to have the recipe for. There’s a signup sheet in the Parish Hall where you can write down the dish and the creator so we can ask them for the recipe. Thank you for your help!

Pentecost is just a week away. On May 24 we will have a combined service at 9 a.m. followed by a potluck coffee hour, hosted by Community Life. Please bring a dish to share, and consider wearing red in honor of the Holy Spirit. Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far to read the Acts 2:1-21 reading in another language. You can still sign up this Sunday if you’d like.

The following week is our worship and church picnic with Emmanuel UCC. On May 31 we will have 8 a.m. service at St. Mary’s and Coffee Hour. However, at 9:30 a.m. we will head over to Emmanuel for worship, followed by a church picnic. If you are planning to come, please sign up in the Parish Hall. Emmanuel has asked us for an estimate of how many people will be coming so that they can order enough hamburgers and hot dogs.

The Strawberry Fest signup sheets are posted! Please signup to help with raffle baskets, baking and volunteering the day of. This event is only possible because of you!

Prayers and blessings,
Mother Pippa
