Happy March! I want to thank our tremendous Community Life team for hosting our Pancake Coffee Hour this Sunday. It’s always fun to have one last hurrah before the beginning of Lent. We have tried out our combined service for two months, and we will definitely continue service at 9 a.m. throughout March, but I

Our February meeting of Homebrewed Faith is coming up on Wednesday, February 26 at 7 p.m. We meet at Johnny Pizza’s in Oconomowoc, and this month our topic of discussion will be forgiveness. What does it mean to forgive? Does it require the cooperation of both parties? Does the relationship return to its original closeness?

Sunday is our first Bishop’s Visit with Bishop Matt Gunter, the Bishop of Wisconsin. I hope you’ll join us to meet Bishop Matt, as well as welcoming five new Episcopalians into the church. John, Carol, Marian, Mary, and Diane are all becoming official Episcopalians on Sunday. Lent is on the way, and Soup and Substance

It has been such a joy to welcome visitors and newcomers to St. Mary’s. If you would be willing to wear your nametags on Sunday, I would really appreciate it. Hopefully we will all get to know each other better. This Monday we are starting an Ecology Book Group. Join us at 11 a.m. to

From Mother Pippa I hope you have stayed cozy warm this week – I ventured out on Monday and was quickly chilled, despite all my layers. The temperature does look like it will be dropping starting on Sunday, and I want to remind you that if we have closures due to weather, I will let

We are entering into the season after Epiphany, a season marked by revelations (or epiphanies) about the nature of God, the ministry of Jesus, and our call as Christians. We will start where we all start – in baptism. Sunday we recall Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan River and reaffirm that in baptism we die

Happy New Year! I invite you to pray as we start another cycle around the sun: Eternal God, whose Spirit fills time, each January 1st we celebrate both New Year’s Day and the holy name of Jesus, the Son of God and Savior of the world. As we journey through another year, let us remember

Welcome into the last week of Advent and the start of the Christmas season! We’ve read through Luke’s stories of apocalypse, John the Baptist proclaiming Jesus’ arrival and scolding those who come for repentance without being willing to change, and this week we hear Mary’s song of praise to God. Advent reminds us that great
