From Mother Pippa 3.9.2025

I am consistently awed and amazed by the hospitality and fellowship at St. Mary’s. Last Sunday’s pancake coffee hour was so much fun thanks to the hard work and participation of so many wonderful parishioners. Thank you all for joining us and celebrating together.

This Sunday is the start of Daylight Saving Time! I hope you remembered to set your clock forward an hour. However, if you forgot, you are still very welcome to join us for Coffee Hour!

Thank you to everyone who has filled in a service time survey. At the moment, it looks like we are leaning towards returning to 8 and 10 a.m., as we have a number of people who simply can’t make it to the 9 a.m. service. If you haven’t voted yet, please do!
We have some interest in an evening service, and I am stuck between Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 5 p.m. We will have 6 p.m. worship during Lent, and I think instead of evening prayer, I’ll offer a short Eucharist in the church. Depending on how that goes, in April we might try a Saturday evening service. Please let me know if you have any thoughts.

Our Lenten programs kick off this week. We have two formation offerings on Wednesdays:

  1. Morning Prayer and Eucharist at 9 a.m. followed by Cultivating the Gifts of the Spirit by Living Compass in the Chapel.
  2. Eucharist at 6 p.m. in the Church, followed by soup dinner and Entering the Passion of Jesus in the Parish Hall.

Sunday is your last chance to sign up for Bingo! Don’t miss out on an Irish-themed night of fun, food and prizes. Dinner is provided by Community Life, but please bring a side or a dessert to share.

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
