From Mother Pippa 4.3.2024

Happy Easter! I hope you are having a wonderful first week of Easter (remember, Easter is 50 days). Thank you also to everyone who voted on Tuesday, I got to see several of you at the Oconomowoc polling station.

The numbers are in! We were able to fully fund two new pet chip readers for Summit Police, as well as donated $2317 towards new AED devices. Thank you all for your support. Thank you also for the Easter donations which covered the cost of our furnace repairs and also raised nearly $300 for the Discretionary Fund. You are amazing!

Join us for Movie Night on Saturday, April 20. We will gather for a potluck at 5:30 p.m. and start watching the movie at 6 p.m. We had such fun watching the Princess Bride last time, and I am really looking forward to this fun fellowship opportunity.

Finally, I am looking for some feedback.
The first regards Dousman’s Derby Days (July 26-28). Last year we noticed that no one was selling desserts, and it seems like we could fill that gap with some root beer floats. However, that means asking people to volunteer for shifts at Derby Days. Would you be willing to volunteer? We are considering either two-hour or four-hour shifts. Please sign up in the Parish Hall if you will be in town and willing to volunteer.
The second area of feedback regards a bathroom remodel. The Parish Hall bathrooms are not ADA accessible, and we are hoping to move them closer. To do so, we have received a grant from the Diocese to help. However, I would love a team to help pick out hardware, schedule work parties and otherwise manage the process. If you are interested, please let me know.

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
