Easter Sunday arrives after the swirl of rite, ritual and prayer that is Holy Week. We face humanity’s need in stark terms, attempting to comprehend the unimaginable grace offered to us on Easter Sunday. We likely will never fully understand, at least not until we are in the presence of God. But I hope you do find resurrection in your life – new hope, new call, new faith, new direction. May you, like Mary, hear Jesus calling you by name and giving you a message to spread.
As is our tradition, today’s Easter offering will be divided evenly between:
- Kettle Moraine Food Pantry
- MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Committee)
- Mary’s Discretionary Fund
Please be generous.
This Saturday we have a fellowship hike at 10 a.m., as well as Paul Schmitt’s funeral at noon (visitation at 11 a.m.). Please sign up if you are planning to join us on the hike. A sign-up sheet for a kayak trip will be posted soon.
On May 4 we will have a Ministry Fair! This is an opportunity to see all the different ministries in the St. Mary’s community. You are invited to come to the fair following either service, and read, sign-up for more information, or even propose a new ministry. God calls each and every one of us to use our gifts for the benefit of the community, and it is my hope that everyone at St. Mary’s is able to be as involved as they wish to be. I am really looking forward to our Ministry Fair, I’ve wanted to have one since I arrived, and can’t wait to see it become a reality.
I hope you have a very joyous Easter season (remember, Easter continues until June 7), and you meet the resurrected Lord in your life.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
