From Mother Pippa 2.9.2025

I realized this week that Lent is just four weeks away, can you believe it? Mark your calendars for March 2 – we will have pancakes for Coffee Hour, thanks to the “Flipping Sisters” and Craig. March 5 is Ash Wednesday, we will have service at 9 a.m. in the Chapel and at 7 p.m. in the Church. I hope you join us.

Sunday is your last chance to sign up for Murder on the Orient Express. If you’d like to join the St. Mary’s group on May 3, please sign up Sunday and save your place.

This week a group met to start talking about updates to the kitchen. Please take the opportunity this Sunday to examine all the items we sorted out from the kitchen. You can:

  1. Tell us it should be in the kitchen
  2. Take it home
  3. Leave it to be donated on February 10

Our Ecology Book Group met for the first time this week and we had a lively discussion. You are more than welcome to join us February 10 at 11 a.m. to talk about chapters 3-4, and I have an extra copy of the book if you’d like one.

Please sign up for our Fellowship Hike on February 15 at 10 a.m. Our destination will be weather-dependent (specifically how windy it is) but these hikes are always a lovely time to enjoy our beautiful outdoors.

The next day, February 16, is our Bishop’s Visit. Please come and welcome Bishop Matt Gunter to St. Mary’s and support our five parishioners who will be formally received into the Episcopal Church.

Finally, our Retro Bingo Night is February 22. Please sign up to bring a “retro” dish to share and think of a fun costume for dress up. I look forward to seeing you all there!

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
