From Mother Pippa 12.19.2023

Merry Christmas! We have had the shortest possible Advent, and so, believe it or not, Christmas is here. It’s here whether we are ready or not, and honestly, I am not sure how we could ever be truly “ready” for the life-changing, paradigm-shifting, God-arrival that is Christmas. And yet, somehow, by God’s grace, Christmas comes. Every year, and also daily, God breaks into our lives, making them different, and yet so much better than they were before.

During Advent we focus on hope, faith, joy, love and light. I hope you have experienced all five this season, and continue to find examples shining into your life.

I’d like to close with a poem by Christina Rossetti, Love Came Down at Christmas.

Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, Love divine;
Love was born at Christmas;
star and angels gave the sign.

Love shall be our token;
love be yours and love be mine;
love to God and others,
love for plea and gift and sign

Merry Christmas!
