Happy March! I want to thank our tremendous Community Life team for hosting our Pancake Coffee Hour this Sunday. It’s always fun to have one last hurrah before the beginning of Lent.
We have tried out our combined service for two months, and we will definitely continue service at 9 a.m. throughout March, but I wanted to ask you if we should continue forward, or not. Please fill out a survey on Sunday, or send me an email to answer the following questions:
I prefer Sunday Service at:
□ 8 and 10
□ 9 a.m.
I would be interested in an additional 30-minute evening Eucharist:
Weekday and Time _________________
Thank you for your feedback!
Your Outreach Team met last week and picked our Lenten Project. We will be gathering items for Tricia’s Troops, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance, wellness programming and supportive care to people in southeast Wisconsin who have been impacted by cancer. St. Mary’s will be collecting items for their Care Tote Bags. These items are compiled into tote bags and delivered to local cancer centers to remind patients they are thought of, cared for and never alone on their journey. We will print of items needed in the bulletin each week.
Do you have a local ministry that you think does great work? Please let us know. Your Outreach Team is: Suzanne, Carol, Sally, Jim, Holly, Sandie, Shirley, Donna, Megan and Mother Pippa. We have three ministries chosen for the Easter Offering, but would love to learn about more organizations that are doing good work in the world.
As we enter into Lent, I invite you to schedule a time with me if you’d like to confess privately. We will have public confession each week (We confess that we have sinned against you, in thought, word and deed), but it can also be cleansing and freeing to share your burdens with another. If you are interested, I promise to keep what is said so private that I will only ever mention it if you bring it up first.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
