We’re going to try for an Outdoor Service this Sunday at 10 a.m. We were rained out last week, but hope springs eternal. The 8 a.m. service will be indoors, and the 10 a.m. will be down by the river, assuming the weather cooperates. You are welcome to drive down to the outdoor altar – you enter the southern parking lot and then follow the mown path until you reach the altar area. See you Sunday!
Our Annual Meeting is on September 7! Having the Annual Meeting in early September means that we can present the draft budget before Stewardship, so you have an idea of what ministries we are hoping to fund for 2026. To that end, I have sent out emails requesting that ministry heads send me their reports for their various ministries. If you haven’t received an email, please let me know. The report should cover from September of 2024 to September of 2025. Thank you for your help!
Sunday is your last chance to sign up for Adopt a Highway. We’ll meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 19 to clean up our two-mile stretch of Delafield Road (also called Highway DR). Please meet us at the Sawyer Road Park and Ride. Jim will have vests and trash bags. Please bring your own gloves and grabbers.
Derby Days is also fast approaching. Please sign up for a shift (or three) to serve root beer floats and ice cream sundaes. It’s a wonderful way to participate in our local community and help people associate St. Mary’s with something sweet. Many hands make light work, and each shift is only one-hour long.
Hope you enjoyed the cooler weather at the start of the week, prayers and blessings,
Mother Pippa
