Happy Father’s Day! I hope you are able to celebrate the men in your life who have nurtured and mentored you, helping you grow strong and confident in your identity and values. We will be celebrating by offering a prayer and fudge to those who have acted as fathers, either for their own children or for others. I hope you will join us.
Strawberry Fest is only a week away! Thank you to everyone who signed up to prep berries this Thursday, many hands make light work. We could still use a few more volunteers the day of Strawberry Fest, the sign-up sheets can be found on the flipchart in the Parish Hall.
Do you have a St. Mary’s T-Shirt? If not, please pick one up on Sunday. We are selling the newer shirts for $15 apiece and the older ones for $5 each. Please consider wearing your t-shirt to Strawberry Fest and out and about in the community.
Our first Summer Movie is coming up on June 28 at 9:30 a.m. Please join us in the Parish Hall to watch the Jesus Revolution. Here’s the summary: “In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love…”
Also on June 28 is our next installment of Homebrewed Faith. We will be focusing on LGBTQ theology as we come to the end of Pride month. This topic has gained a lot of interest and passion in the last several decades, and I hope you will join us at 7 p.m. at the Delafield Brewhaus to discuss the topic.
We have added more Kayak Trips to the calendar. We have one a month for the entire summer. The location is to be determined, but the dates are at 10 a.m. on Saturdays – July 15, August 12, and September 2. We can rent you a kayak for $45 and have it delivered to our starting site.
Our next Adopt a Highway is set for Saturday, July 22 at 9 a.m. We will pick up Delafield Road from Highway 67 to Sawyer Road. Please sign up if you are able to attend.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
