This Sunday is our Bishop’s Visit! I hope you join me in welcoming Bishop Jeff Lee to St. Mary’s. Please wear your nametag to help Bishop Lee match names masked faces. While we will not have Coffee Hour, we will have an opportunity to chat with the Bishop in the Church at 9 a.m. I hope you will come.
You may have noticed that our wonderful Music Director, Carrie, has not been leading the singing in recent weeks. Carrie is caring for her throat, and so I have been helping lead the opening and closing hymns, and JR has been helping to lead the offertory and communion hymns. Please sing along to all the hymns, and keep Carrie in your prayers that she might grace us with her lovely voice again soon.
This week two of our younger members are selling Girl Scout cookies! Place your orders by February 14, and the cookies will be delivered near the beginning of March. Payment is due upon delivery. This year there is a new cookie flavor (Adventurefuls, indulgent brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt, yum!) as well as all the traditional favorites. The sales will support the Girl Scout Troop as well as a Koala Hospital in Australia.
We have updated Parish Directories available for pick up. You can get them on Sunday in the Narthex or you can call the office to have one sent or emailed to you. Please check your information in the directory, and let us know if there are any changes needed.
Finally, we are going to try to go snow shoeing (with snow hiking as a backup) on February 19 at 1 p.m. Come out to Oak Ridge Farm and enjoy the beautiful Ice Age Trail all covered in snow. You do not need to have your own snowshoes, but please do sign up or email me, so we can let you know if we plan to snowshoe or hike on February 19.
Prayers and blessings,
Mother Pippa
