Sunday is the Annual Meeting! Hopefully you remember that there is one service at 9 a.m., followed by a potluck at 10 a.m. and the Annual Meeting at 10:30 a.m.
Lent is approaching (Ash Wednesday is two and half weeks away). This year’s Soup & Substance class will be led by Deacon Ryan and me. The class will focus on identifying our spiritual gifts and using them. Sharing our faith means being vulnerable and taking the chance that people might disagree. How can we take the gifts God has given us to be bold and loving and compassionate? Please come to learn and share your ideas and gifts with the community.
I would like to invite you to Homebrewed Faith this Wednesday, January 31 at 7 p.m. at Rosati’s Pizza in Oconomowoc. We will be focusing on prayer. Paul talks about praying without ceasing, but how do we do that? What is the purpose of prayer? Do we hope to change God’s mind? Our lives? The lives of others? I look forward to an interesting discussion that will help us go deeper in our faith. Homebrewed Faith will pause during Lent and resume again at the end of April.
