Thank you to everyone who pitched in to help with Derby Days! A special thank you to the gentlemen who set up the tents (Jim, John, John & grandsons) and took them down again. It was hot and sweaty and I was deeply grateful to all the volunteers who poured, scooped and sold with such aplomb. We used 27 gallons of ice cream and about 172 cans of root beer to make 359 floats and/or sundaes. Wow!
We have rescheduled our summer highway cleanup. We’re meeting on August 15 at the Sawyer Road Park-N-Ride at 9 a.m. to tidy up our stretch of County Road DR. Please sign up in the Parish Hall so that we know to expect you!
Your quarterly statements are printed and available for pickup in the Parish Hall. Every statement you take home on your own is one less that we need to mail. Thanks!
On Monday I met with Wally from Miller Monument and the Columbarium Team and we ordered our first columbarium! We are expecting to have our concrete poured in September and then will still need to wait several months for the columbarium to arrive, but we are moving forward. This Sunday I’ll have the columbarium map if you want to reserve a specific slot in the columbarium.
