From Mother Pippa 6.25.2024

Well, much like the motto of the US Postal Service, it takes more than rain, wind and clouds to keep St. Mary’s from celebrating Strawberry Fest! Despite the challenges of the weather, it was a lovely celebration, full of fun, food and friends. I had great fun in the dunk tank (and greater fun getting out of the tank) and really appreciate all the clergy who volunteered to take their turn. I am still waiting on a total, but I think it was quite a respectable effort. We didn’t get the gorgeous weather of a year ago, and I am quite proud of the event we put on. What fun!

I have had a couple questions from people about how to get ahold of me. Monday to Wednesday, you can probably reach me in the office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If I am late, Lynn can take a message and I will call you back. My weekend is generally Friday, and either Saturday or Thursday, depending on what happened to be scheduled that week. During the day, if you need me, please call my cell phone (651.341.9629). If it’s late, but you have a pastoral need, please call my cell phone. I have programmed you all into my phone, so I should see right away that it’s you. If you are in the hospital, I am glad to wake up and come by if that’s helpful. Email or text is also good, but a phone call will probably result in the fastest response.

June is quickly turning into July. Upcoming events include:

  • July 7 – Outdoor Service at 8 a.m.
  • July 13 – Movie Night at 5:30 p.m. (Monster’s Inc)
  • July 14 – Outdoor Service at 10 a.m.

  • July 26-28 – Derby Days in Dousman

Prayers and blessings,
Mother Pippa
