From Mother Pippa 12.3.2024

Thank you to everyone who has voted on our service times so far. I have received about 60 votes so far, and right now combining into one 9 a.m. service is in the lead. Voting will continue this Sunday, so please be sure to share your thoughts as we contemplate our service times. Regardless of voting, the December worship schedule will stay set – any changes would begin in January.

We have some fun fellowship and formation opportunities coming up.
On December 11 we will be cutting snowflakes! Join us at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy this fun craft. We have templates and materials (though glue guns and extra scissors would be appreciated.) This is a craft that everyone can manage and we will have a ton of fun. Please sign up if you’re planning to join us so we can have enough paper bags.
Saturday, December 14 we are decorating for Christmas. Join the Altar Guild at 10 a.m. as we put up the tree, hang lights, and fill the church with flowers.
December 15 sees the return of our monthly Bible study. I hope you’ll come to the Library after the 10 AM service to discuss the two different genealogies of Jesus (Matthew 1 and Luke 3). Each gospel writer has a different focus and message.
For those musically inclined, December 21 we go Christmas Caroling to Three Pillars at 2:30 p.m. Parish Music Director Carrie Arndorfer invites parish members and friends to join the choir for Christmas caroling. This is a great way to share some Advent/ Christmas joy. The presence, music and warmth are always appreciated and are such wonderful gifts. We always have fun and the residents really enjoy singing along with us too. Hope you can make it!  Kids are most welcome!

Finally, please mark your calendars with our Christmas Services:
December 22 – Christmas Pageant at 10 a.m.
December 22 – Longest Night at 4 p.m. in the Chapel
December 24 – Christmas Eve Service at 4 p.m. in the Chapel
December 24 – Christmas Eve Service at 9 p.m. in the Church
December 25 – Christmas Service at 10 a.m. in the Church
December 29 – Lessons and Carols at 10 a.m.

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
