Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you to everyone who attended last Sunday, to everyone who celebrated with us, and to everyone who pledged to support St. Mary’s in 2025. We received 47 pledge cards, including 11 new pledges! Of the 47 pledge cards, 38 were increases from last year. We sent 24 letters to those unable to join us Sunday, and so I will let you know our totals once those are in. Still, I want to sincerely thank the Consecration Sunday Team – Father Ryan, Carol, Carol, Diane, Jordan, and Sally – and I want to thank you all, the people of St. Mary’s. You are incredible.
This Sunday we have Bible Study after both services. We’ll be talking about the book of Ruth after the 8 a.m. service, and the book of Psalms after the 10 a.m. service. I hope you’ll join us.
Our Advent study will begin on Wednesday, November 20 at 9:30 a.m. (with worship at 9 a.m.). We will be reading the Living Compass reflection on Practicing Peace with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind. The seasons of Advent and Christmas are filled with the presence of peace, if only we remember to pause and open ourselves to receive this gift. The Living Compass team says “our hope and prayer is that you feel supported in your desire to more fully practice your faith in a way that is deeply renewing.” We have booklets available in the Narthex.
The Bingo signup is now posted. We are going to have a taco bar, so please sign up for the item you’d like to bring. Bingo is coming on Saturday, November 23 at 4 p.m. If you are unable to bring an item for the taco bar, please sign up and bring yourself. All are welcome (but no fish or shellfish).
Finally, thank you to everyone who has donated for the Thanksgiving baskets. Your support will go directly to four local families to help them celebrate the holiday. We will continue to collect funds this Sunday and next. Thank you!
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
