This Sunday is Consecration Sunday! I love celebrations at St. Mary’s, and I think that Consecration Sunday (or Pledge Sunday) is a particularly wonderful event! It’s fantastic to welcome Father Ryan back to St. Mary’s for the day, and I hope you all will stay afterwards for our delicious catered luncheon.
Should you not be able to join us on Sunday, the office will send you a pledge card next Monday. My hope is that everyone is able to turn in a pledge card, even if they check that they aren’t able to give financially this year. I hope your reflection on generosity, stewardship and the spirituality of giving have brought you closer to God.
It’s a busy week! This Wednesday (10/22) is the Chamber of Commerce’s Scam Seminar at 6:30 p.m. at the Lions’ Club. Saturday (10/25) is Halloween on Main. I hope you will be able to join us for both of these events.
On the Outreach front we are continuing to collect winter clothing for the Hope Center. They serve people without homes, so all sizes are very welcome! We’ve taken three big car loads over already, and I know we will take at least one more! You are amazing!
We are also collecting funds for our college students. We want to send them a little note and gift card as they enter the second half of their fall semester. Thank you for brightening their days!
Finally, we are going hiking at Holy Hill on November 8 at 11 a.m. You can join us for Stations of the Cross, or you can go on a longer hike on the Ice Age Trail. Please sign up in the Parish Hall. Thank you!
