Make sure you get your pictures in to the office! We will be printing our new photo poster of all our parish members in February, so please get yours in ASAP! If you would like me to snap a photo of you after church or during the week, please let me know.
The Annual Meeting is coming up fast on January 30. If you are the head of a ministry, be sure to get your report in to the office. In addition to electing new Vestry members, approving the budget and hearing about the goals for 2022, we also have a Bylaw change to vote on. In the past, the Treasurer has been a voting member of Vestry. I am proposing we change the bylaws so that the role of Treasurer and role of Vestry member are not linked. A Treasurer could be a member of Vestry, but would not have to be.
If you would like a paper ballot for the Annual Meeting, please contact the office.
It seems that the scammers are still with us and trying to trick St. Mary’s parishioners into buying gift cards in my name. I will never email you about a “discrete” matter that necessitates buying gift cards. Indeed, if there is something I need to talk to you about, I promise to call. Please delete these emails and do not respond. Thank you!
We had such fun hiking in the snow last week, and we have another date on the calendar. Join us February 5 at 1 p.m. Depending on the snow depth we will either hike on the snow or snowshoe over it. You don’t need to have your own pair of snowshoes, but if you sign up or email me to let us know you are coming, I’ll be sure to email you and let you know if we are hiking or snowshoeing.
Finally, our Bishop’s Visit is coming up on February 13. While we won’t be able to have the celebratory Coffee Hour we would normally have, Bishop’s Visit is still a time for confirmations. If anyone is interested in making a mature commitment to the Christian faith, witnessed by the church, please let me know.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
