From Mother Pippa 12.14.2025

We are collecting funds to provide four local families with Christmas dinner. We had so much fun at Thanksgiving, collecting, shopping and delivering, that we thought we’d try it at Christmas, too. We’ll collect funds through December 21, and go shopping December 22 to get the families their Christmas groceries. There will be a wooden box in the Narthex to collect donations.

Next Sunday we have the beginning of our Christmas services. We will have Advent IV at the 8 a.m. service. At 10 a.m. we will have a spontaneous (no-rehearsal) Christmas Pageant. Your friends and family are welcome to attend. If four people want to be Mary, we’ll have four Marys. If we have sheep and no shepherds, we’ll make it work.
At 4 p.m. on December 21 we will have our Longest Night service in the Chapel. This service is particularly for those who are dealing with emotions of grief, loneliness, anger, and depression during this season. The Longest Night service invites people to listen, pray and sing if they are able.
On Christmas Eve we will have two services, one at 2 p.m., and the latter at 9 p.m. The 2 p.m. service will be in the Chapel, and the 9 p.m. will be in the Church. At 8:30 p.m. we’ll start singing Christmas carols in the church.
Christmas Day we have one service at 10 a.m. in the Church. The first Sunday after Christmas (December 28) we will have a service of Lessons and Carols at 9 a.m.
Please note that the office will be closed between Christmas and New Years.

Finally, at 1:30 p.m. today (December 14) we will go Christmas caroling at Three Pillars. You don’t need to be a professional singer – all voices are welcome and appreciated.

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
