Summer is an interesting time. On the one hand, many of our ministries and formation opportunities pause for the summer. On the other, I spend a lot of time during the summer trying to plan to foundation for those ministries to start back up again in the fall. Each month I print off a list of upcoming events for the next three months. Those lists are posted in the south entrance of the Parish Hall, on the western door and on the Upcoming Events bulletin board. At a glance, it’s clear that September will be very busy.
We have several upcoming fellowship opportunities: a kayak trip on August 16, Movies at St. Mary’s on September 13 (we’ll watch Lilies of the Field), and a Pet Blessing on September 27. That said, if you would like to plan and/or host an event at St. Mary’s, I’d be delighted to help. In particular, Bingo is a lot of fun and I would love to get something on the calendar. If you are interested, please let me know.
Thank you to everyone who has signed up to help at Derby Days! We have a couple open spots, so please do sign up Sunday if you can help out for an hour or two, but we are in really excellent shape. Thank you!
