What a glorious Easter Sunday! Of course, the season of Easter continues through the end of May, and I hope you will join us in celebrating this most joyful of seasons!
Sunday we are watching Zootopia at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Zootopia is a 2016 American computer-animated buddy cop film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Determined to prove herself, Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny on Zootopia’s police force, jumps at the chance to crack her first case – even if it means partnering with scam-artist fox Nick Wilde to solve the mystery. It’s big fun for all shapes and species!
Next Wednesday (April 27) we will be watching the 2018 production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Starring John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Alice Cooper and Brandon Victor Dixon, this musical by Andrew Lloyd Weber is full of beautiful music, and is a poignant retelling of Jesus’ life and ministry. Please join us at 9:30 a.m. to watch and discuss this movie. Its runtime is an hour and forty minutes, so we should wrap up around 11:30 a.m.
On Saturday, April 30 we are gathering for Adopt a Highway at 9 a.m. on the corner of Highway 67 and Delafield Road. Please sign up so Jim can supply us with vests and garbage bags. We will walk the two miles from Highway 67 to the Summit Park N Ride on Sawyer Road. Gloves are recommended.
In the evening of April 30, we will have our second round of Bingo! Join us at 4 p.m. for two hours of Bingo, followed by a meal of sloppy joes. Again, if you sign up, it will give Community Life an idea of how much food to make. All are welcome.
Our Annual Bike Blessing is coming up on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. Motorcycles, bicycles, skateboards… if it’s a mode of transportation, we’ll bless it! Come join in this special event. Everyone welcome.
On May 15, following both services, join us for our annual Clean Up Day. Wear your work clothes to church and stay after the service to complete a task or two. No special skill is needed, just a little time and willingness to help. If there is anything you feel needs attention, please let me know about it. Many hands make light work, so please join us!
Are you interested in going to see “The Church Basement Ladies in A Mighty Fortress is Our Basement” at The Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson? We are planning to go on Saturday May 28 around 11 a.m. Please email Kathy if you are interested in attending by Monday, April 25. The cost is $89.94 per person (includes dinner and the play).
Finally, it is time to look through the Lost and Found, claim your lost items, and donate the rest to Goodwill. Please check in the hallway by the office and take your items home. Unclaimed items will be donated on Monday, May 9.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
