From Mother Pippa 2.1.2026

Next Saturday (February 7) at 10 AM, we are scrubbing and polishing the pews! Come in your work clothes and make the pews shine with our care and love. Thank you to a parishioner donation that bought the cleaning supplies.

Our “snow check” Bingo is also on February 7 from 3-5 PM. It will be our white elephant Bingo, so please bring a wrapped gift as a Bingo prize. We won’t be serving a meal, but there will be popcorn!

Please mark your calendars for our Ministry Training. Whether you have served for decades, weeks, or would like to join, please come to the relevant training day(s) following each service.
Feb 8 – Acolyte Training
Feb 22 – Altar Guild Training
March 8 – Chalice Training
March 15 – Greeter Training
March 22 – Reader Training
Not listed is training for Lay Eucharistic Visitors. These are people who take communion to those who are unable to join us on Sunday. If you would like to learn more, please ask me or sign up in the Parish Hall.

Movie night returns this month on February 14. We will watch the African Queen. *There is a time change for this event!* We will now meet at 3 PM. Free popcorn will be provided, so just bring your favorite non-alcoholic beverage, sit down, relax and enjoy a good movie. All are welcome!

Lent is just around the corner, and we have a variety of worship and formation offerings. We begin Lent with our Ash Wednesday services on February 18 at 9 AM (chapel) and 7 PM (church).  Both services will have the imposition of ashes.
The following Wednesday (February 25) will kick off our morning Lenten study: Cultivating Healing and Wholeness with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind by Living Compass. The Living Compass booklets can be picked up in the Narthex. Join us on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 AM in the Chapel on February 25 to April 1.
Our Evening Lenten study (Soup and Substance) also begins on February 25. Join us in the Church for Evening Prayer at 6 PM, and then move into the Parish Hall for soup at 6:30 PM and discussion at 7 PM. We’ll focus on the five promises made and reaffirmed in baptism. Each week we’ll welcome a different speaker to focus on what these promises mean in our lives.
February 25 – Continue in the Apostles’ Fellowship (Dr. Garwood Anderson)
March 4 – Whenever You Fall into Sin (Canon Scott Leannah)
March 11 – Spread the Good News of God in Christ (Mother Pippa Lindwright)
March 18 – Seek and Serve Christ in All Persons (Mother Jennifer McCombe)

I hope you will join us.

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
