From Mother Pippa 10.25.2026

October has sped past – we are careening towards the end of the month. This upcoming Wednesday (October 28) we have our final Homebrewed Faith of the year. The theme is Apocalypse. Please join us at 7 p.m. at Johnny Pizzas. The following Saturday (October 31) is the annual Halloween on Main. St. Mary’s will have a table and pass out candy from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you are able to help distribute the candy, please sign up in the Parish Hall.

Next Sunday (November 1) is the end of Daylight Saving Time! Please remember to set your clocks back an hour on Halloween, so you aren’t an hour early to church. Canon Scott will be preaching that Sunday, it is always such a joy to have him back at St. Mary’s.

This Sunday (October 25) is your last chance to donate coats, scarves, mittens, etc. for the Hope Center. Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far, it’s been awe-inspiring to watch our pile of winter clothing grow bigger and bigger each week.

During November we will have two outreach opportunities. The first is the familiar collection of funds for Thanksgiving Groceries. We hope to shop for six families on November 22. If you are able to come and captain a cart, please let me know.
Our second outreach is buying and wrapping gifts for the children and parents of Safe Families. We will have tags with individual requests and ask that the gifts are returned wrapped and labeled before December 15.

November 14 – Bingo & Craig’s Best Chili at 4 p.m. Bring a White Elephant gift
