From Mother Pippa 4.5.2026

Easter Sunday arrives after the swirl of rite, ritual and prayer that is Holy Week. We face humanity’s need in stark terms, attempting to comprehend the unimaginable grace offered to us on Easter Sunday. We likely will never fully understand, at least not until we are in the presence of God. But I hope you do find resurrection in your life – new hope, new call, new faith, and new direction. May you, like Mary and the other Mary, go in faith to the tomb and see that it’s empty. May you heed Jesus’ directive to “go and tell” throughout the world.

As is our tradition, today’s Easter offering will be divided evenly between:

  1. Safe Families for Children
  2. Lake Area Free Clinic
  3. Paying off School Lunch Balances

Please be generous.

Next Sunday, April 12, we will have a combined service at 9 AM followed by a catered coffee hour. After some hiccups at our Consecration Sunday meal, Bishop’s Sweets has offered to cater this meal for free to make up for the difficulties in October. I hope you will join us for a wonderful meal – and yes, there will be coconut cake!

On April 26, we will have a Ministry Fair! This is an opportunity to see all the different ministries in the St. Mary’s community. You are invited to come to the fair following either service, and read, sign-up for more information, or even propose a new ministry. God calls each and every one of us to use our gifts for the benefit of the community, and it is my hope that everyone at St. Mary’s is able to be as involved as they wish to be.

I hope you have a very joyous Easter season (remember, Easter continues until May 24), and you meet the resurrected Lord in your life.

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
