Happy Second Sunday of Christmas! I hope you had a lovely and truly joy-filled Christmas Day and are enjoying the subsequent twelve days of the season.
If anyone has any recommendations for podcasts, books or apps that they have found to be particularly informative, inspiring or helpful, I would be delighted if you would share those with myself or Kathy Mitchell. We are hoping to add such recommendations to our newsletter for the benefit of all our parishioners. We have found in Wednesday night Way of Love class that we can learn so much from one another, and can also help one another on our formation journeys with resources we have found helpful ourselves.
Speaking of the Way of Love class, we meet again this Wednesday, January 6 (Epiphany) at 6 p.m. to discuss prayer. As it says on the Way of Love website: “Jesus teaches us to come before God with humble hearts, boldly offering our thanksgivings and concerns to God or simply listening for God’s voice in our lives and in the world. Whether in thought, word or deed, individually or corporately, when we pray we invite and dwell in God’s loving presence.” All are welcome to join us on Zoom this Wednesday!
Mark your calendars – the Annual Meeting is approaching. We will meet on Zoom on Sunday, January 31 at 10 a.m. We will not have a drive-in service in the parking lot that day, but will post an online service that morning. As we hope to upgrade our internet in mid-January, it is possible that we will stream the service live, otherwise we will record it early enough to post before the Annual Meeting. Should you be a ministry lead, please get your reports to Lynn by January 21.
Prayers and blessings to you all, and a Happy New Year,
