From Mother Pippa 7.29.2020

First of all, I want to correct last week’s message – Deacon Esther’s ordination is Thursday, August 6 at 5 p.m. You can still watch the service on facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/AllSaintsMKE/ I hope you will keep Esther in your prayers as she embarks on this next stage in her ministry.

Thank you to everyone who continues to sign up to exchange gifts for St. Mary’s Day on August 16. If you would like to sign up, please email me or call the office. The idea is to brighten one another’s day with a batch of cookies, flowering plant, icon of St. Mary or some other small token of love and fellowship.

Even as we do the bulk of our worship, fellowship and interaction online, there is still a lot going on at St. Mary’s. There are a number of volunteer opportunities at the moment, including:
Book sorting – We have lots of donations for the 2021 Book Sale, but they need to be sorted by author and genre. Please contact Sandie P. if you are interested.
Reading for the Diocese – We are looking for readers who can record the readings for the Diocesan services on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. If you are interested, please let me know.
Reading for St. Mary’s – If you are interested in coming to church and reading the lessons and leading the Prayers of the People for one of our 9 a.m. services, please contact Lynn.
The Gathering on August 15 –They are currently assembling and distributing to-go meals. You must be healthy, and all volunteers will be required to wear a mask.  If they don't have one, the Gathering have some to provide. The volunteer time is 10:00-12:45. If you are interested, please contact Jim L.
Adopt a Highway on August 22 – We will be cleaning up our section of Highway DR. Join us at 9 a.m. at the old Park and Ride across from Aurora Hospital, at the corner of Highway DR and Highway 67. If you are interested, please contact Jim L.
Kettle Moraine Food Pantry Liaison – We need someone to take food from St. Mary’s to the Food Pantry once a month. For more details, please contact me.

Prayers and blessings,
Mother Pippa
