The service on Sunday will be said with intention for all the people we have loved and lost. Please bring a photo of your departed loved ones and place them on the altar or on the table in front of the altar. We will lift up our prayers in thanksgiving for those we love and in gratitude that we will see them again. Please take your photos home following the service.
Confirmation classes have begun. Adult classes are November 4, 12, and 19 at 6 p.m. Youth classes are November 10, 17 and December 1 at 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, November 16 is Game Night at St. Mary’s! Community Life will provide the pizza and the drinks, please bring yourself, a side dish to share and some games. There is a sign-up sheet in the parish hall to help give us a sense of how much pizza to order, so please sign up and show up. All ages are welcome, as well as all level of board game enthusiasts. Whether you’ve never played a game in your life, or you have been playing for decades, please come and join us in this wonderful fellowship event. You might not know this about me, but I’m a huge board game nerd and hope you all enjoy them too!
Thank you to everyone who has signed up to run a craft for the Advent Fair on November 24. If you would like to lead a class, please sign up or let me know. Otherwise, I hope you will attend the Fair at 9 a.m. in the Parish Hall the last Sunday of November. We will be putting together crafts to prepare for Advent – everything from “stained glass” ornaments to nativity sets to bird seed pinecones. It should be a fun event.
Finally, mark your calendars. On November 28 at 9 a.m. we will have Thanksgiving Eucharist. This is a wonderful way to begin a day devoted to giving thanks with a Eucharist, which quite literally means “thanksgiving.” I hope to see you there.
Prayers and blessings,
