Fall Fest was completely wonderful! Thank you to everyone who volunteered, organized, shelped, and prayed. We had beautiful weather and tons of happy, smiling faces. We don’t have final numbers yet, but we are projecting around $3700 to go to the Western Lakes Fire Department. In 2018 we raised $3509, so it looks like we beat last year’s amount. Well done!
The Saturday at 10 a.m. is the Blessing of the Animals. All animals are welcome, whether in person (so to speak), in photos or stuffed animals. We’ll gather in the parking lot off Highway 67 and celebrate the great abundance of life and love we are blessed with. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbors.
Sunday we will have Capital Campaign dialogue sessions following each service. This is a great time to ask your questions and share your comments or suggestions. Please plan to join us, and don’t forget to fill out your survey. There are more copies available in the office and you can also complete the survey online. The surveys are due by October 22 so the Capital Campaign Team has time to truly look deeply into people’s responses before we decide how to move forward. If you cannot make the dialgoue sessions on Sunday, there will be an additional session on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Finally, Confirmation Classes have been scheduled for both youth and adults. The Youth Confirmation Class will meet Sundays at 11:30 a.m. on November 10, November 17 and December 1. This class is intended for teens under 18 who would like to explore their faith. The Adult Confirmation Class will meet Tuesdays at 6 p.m. on November 5, 12, and 19. This class is open to any adults who would like to learn more about Christianity, the Episcopal Church and their own beliefs. Confirmation will be offered at the Bishop’s Visit on December 8. If you would like to be confirmed and cannot make the appropriate class, please let me know.
Prayers and blessings,
