It’s been a hot summer, but I hope you have had a chance to admire our prairie land as the native flowers take a more dominant role. Marit, JR and their team have mowed, sawed, pulled and burned in an effort to encourage the prairie lands to poke through. Thank you to everyone who has put sweat equity into trying to care for our environment. We have lovely paths to walk and appreciate the outdoors. Enjoy!
Our next Homebrewed Faith is scheduled for August 30 at 7 p.m. at Rosati’s in Oconomowoc. Come to talk about the theology of Death and Dying, and what it means to you to live a good life and die a good death.
Our last Kayak Trip of the season is scheduled for Saturday, September 2 at 9 a.m. Sign up to join us as we explore the waterways of Lake Country. Don’t have a kayak? No worries. We are happy to rent you one for $45/person.
As your life speeds up this fall, I invite you to take a break and go on a retreat with St. Mary’s. We are headed to Holy Wisdom Monastery to share our faith stories, pray together and support one another in our Christian journey. I hope you will join us September 8-9. We still have a couple spots open, and you are welcome to invite friends to join you on retreat.
Our program year will begin on Sunday, September 10. This will mark the return of Sunday School, Adult Formation, Wednesday Morning Prayer and a switch in the liturgy. Stay tuned and check the posted calendars for other upcoming events.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
