From Mother Pippa
I hope you have lovely plans for Mother’s Day. Whether you are with family or friends, I hope you celebrate the ones whom you love, and who love you. As part of our Mother’s Day celebration, we will be handing out flowers to women following both services.
Pat Buckley’s funeral is coming up on Thursday, May 12. I hope you will join us either at the visitation from noon to 1 p.m. or at the service at 1 p.m. Following the service, we will have an apple pie reception – Pat’s favorite dessert!
Our Clean Up Day is just a week away. Wear your blue jeans to church on May 15 and stay after to dust, vacuum, and polish our lovely space. If you see chores we should tackle, please tell me, or our Junior Warden Craig Beckman.
Our first Adopt a Highway of the year has been rescheduled for May 21. Please sign up if you are able to spend an hour or so picking up Delafield Road between Hwy 67 and Sawyer Road. Thanks to Jim & June Lemerand, Sally King and Marian Ketterer who looked at the awful weather we had last Saturday, and were still willing to show up.
Please send the names of the graduates in your lives into the office! We are happy to celebrate the accomplishments of your loved ones near and far, just let us know their names and what graduation they are celebrating. Feel free to add a bit about their future plans if you know them. Celebrating our milestones together is part of what makes them so special. Names are due by May 16 so they can be included in our May 22 bulletin.
Strawberry Fest is approaching, and we want to get the word out! If you are able to share some half sheet or full sheet flyers around town, please do so. Flyers are available in the Narthex, or I am happy to print you some more.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
