The graphic above asks a good question as we prepare for Lent, which begins on Wednesday March 1st
Next Wednesday, March 1st, is Ash Wednesday, and marks the beginning of the season of Lent. We will have two services with Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes, at 9:00 am and at 7:00 pm.
Are you interested in a day-time Lenten series? We could meet on a weekday morning around 10:00 am for a time of reflection and conversation. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know if this interests you. Be sure and let me know dates and times that are good and those that will not work for you. Thanks! -Fr. Scott
As is our custom, we'll join together for Soup with Substance on Wednesday evenings during Lent. This year's series is entitled, "Give it up!". We'll examine what we may be called to give up in order to follow Christ more closely and live our faith more deeply. We'll start with Evening Prayer at 6:00 pm followed by a soup supper, presentation and discussion. We'll end by 8:00 pm. All are welcome.

Day-time Lent series at St. Mary's
Along with our usual Wednesday evening Lent series, we're going to offer an opportunity for a day-time Lenten discussion group as well. We'll read, "Wisdom Distilled from the Daily: Living the Rule of St. Benedict Today" by Sr. Joan Chittister, OSB. We'll meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:45 am on March 8, 15, 22, 29 and possibly April 5. If you want to be a part of this group, please send an email to email@example.com or call the parish office at (262) 965-3924.
Youth Group Mission Trip
The 2016 St. Mary's Youth Mission Trip under the leadership of Kim and Pete Jankowiak and Assistant Chaperone Meghan Hyland, traveled to Mt. Hope, West Virginia from July 10-16 . Our nine youth group members along with the Team Effort organization experienced service work, and daily evening devotions On their free day, they went whitewater rafting!
St Mary's Family Sunday School
A one hour class for kids and their parents. Kids then take some of the prominent roles during the 10:00 mass. First lesson was on the Lord's Prayer. Parents like this format and are able to learn along with their children (and perhaps teach them a bit, too). This is good family time on a Sunday morning. The first Sunday of every month is Family Sunday School. Teachers are parish member Sarah Beneker and Fr. Scott
We are always looking to share our story on this site. Parish members are encouraged to submit their photos and videos of our parish life for posting. If you would like to do so, you can find instructions in the Members' Area.
