This Sunday we are (weather permitting) worshipping by the river at 8 a.m. Please pick up a folding chair by the shed or bring your own lawn chair. If it is difficult to walk down to the river, you may drive your car behind the shed and over to the outdoor altar. Should the weather not cooperate, we will, of course, worship indoors.
Next Saturday is the Rummage Sale! St. Mary’s is offering space to parishioners to sell their goods, but we are also selling cold drinks, ice pops and root beer floats! If you are able to help with setting up the tents on Friday (August 26) or serving on Saturday (August 27) or taking down the tents, please sign up in the Parish Hall.
We are kicking off the program year in just a couple of weeks! We will welcome back Choir, Sunday School, Adult Formation and more on September 11. Please join us as we celebrate our wonderful community, and continue to “invite and welcome all people to experience the new life promised in the Gospels,” and to “celebrate faith in Jesus Christ through worship, support of one another, and service to others.”
Do you know what Altar Guild does? They are a group of volunteers who help set up for worship each week and otherwise care for our worship space. We are in need of more Altar Guild members, and so if you are interested in this wonderful ministry, please talk to me or a current member of Altar Guild. We will provide training and a reminder sheet so don’t worry. It is an important ministry, but it is not physically taxing and with some more members you will only serve every six weeks or so.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
