It’s finally here! Strawberry Fest! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I approach Strawberry Fest in that happy state of exhaustion, knowing how hard the whole parish has worked to make this day a success. Now let’s pray that the weather cooperates!
Deacon Ryan’s ordination is coming up on Saturday, July 20 at All Saints’ Cathedral. We will be organizing a carpool from St. Mary’s for anyone who would like to join. The service starts at 10 a.m., so we will likely leave from St. Mary’s at 9 a.m. Deacon Ryan will be ordained a priest by Bishop Matt Gunter, the Bishop of the newly formed Diocese of Wisconsin, alongside Rob Davis, Hunter Farrow, Meredith Harmon, and Chris Warne.
The carpooling signup sheet is posted in the Parish Hall.
The following day, July 21, Deacon Ryan will preside at Eucharist for the first time. We will have one service at 9 a.m., followed by a celebratory Coffee Hour. Please look for a signup sheet in the next week or two. I know we are all so excited to celebrate Deacon Ryan becoming a priest – the formation process can be long and winding, but this is such a wonderful thing for St. Mary’s and the Episcopal Church as a whole.
Our next Movie Night is coming up on Saturday, July 13, and the sign-up sheet is now posted. The movie is still yet to be announced, but I am sure we will have a lovely potluck followed by a delightful movie. I hope to see you there.
