From Mother Pippa

We are celebrating our graduates this Sunday! Thank you to everyone who has sent in the names of their family and friends who are graduating this year. We applaud your accomplishments and wish you every blessing as you move on to the next chapter.

Would you like to create some beautiful prints on paper through flower pounding? Carol Chase is offering a class, but we need your help to schedule it. Please indicate your availability on the sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall.

Strawberry Fest is less than a month away! There are so many ways to help make this a wonderful event:

  1. Contribute to the Raffle Basket event – you can either donate a whole basket or items towards a theme
  2. Bake for the Bake Sale – items that have strawberry in them sell particularly well. I have fun plans for macarons filled with strawberry jam.
  3. Spread the word – tell people about Strawberry Fest, put up posters (please email me if you need some printed out) and post on social media
  4. Become a sponsor – our proceeds this year will be split between the Haiti Partnership and St. Mary’s, and our sponsors help more of the funds raised go to these important ministries
  5. Volunteer – we need people to help set up, serve food, direct parking, and so much more! You don’t have to be a member to volunteer; bring your family and friends to join in on the fun!

If you would like a red St. Mary’s shirt to wear to the event, please let me know or stop by the office. Shirts are $15 apiece.

Finally, here are some other upcoming events:
Saturday May 25 at 9 a.m. – Kayaking (you don’t need your own kayak, rentals are available)
May 26 – Graduation Sunday
Monday May 27 at 9 a.m. – Hike
May 29 – Homebrewed Faith at 7 p.m. at Rosati’s
June 1 – Mary’s Room Presentation at St. Paul’s, Watertown at 10 a.m.
June 2 – Touch a Truck in Cory Park at noon

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
