April is coming to a close, and it is time for some Spring Cleaning! Please check the Lost and Found in the hall by the office. We will be making a run to Goodwill in mid-May, and I don’t want to donate anyone’s personal items.
May 5 is our Clean Up Sunday. Please wear work clothes to church on that day so you can help us tidy up. If you have ideas about where we should put our efforts, please let me know.
Tuesday, April 30 is the first session of our Community Book Discussion. Please pick up a copy of Think Again by Adam Grant, and read the first four chapters. The group will meet at Three Pillars at 5:30 for a light dinner, followed by a discussion at 6 p.m.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and we are having a Flower Sale! You can order some beautiful potted plants to help celebrate the mothers in your life. We will be selling: 8” Petunias @ $30 apiece and 12” Hanging Baskets of assorted sun plants @ $40 apiece. Order forms are available in the Narthex. Please get your orders in by Sunday, May 5 and you can pick up your flowers on Saturday, May 11.
You may have noticed the signs posted for the Dousman Farmer’s Market. While the bridges are under construction we are hosting the Dousman Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m., beginning on May 8. Please stop by to pick up fresh vegetables and plants, as well as wonderful crafts and delicious food.
Finally, mark your calendars! Our next movie night is scheduled for May 18. The movie is yet to be announced, but I am greatly looking forward to this fun event.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
