From Mother Pippa 2.23.2025

Our February meeting of Homebrewed Faith is coming up on Wednesday, February 26 at 7 p.m. We meet at Johnny Pizza’s in Oconomowoc, and this month our topic of discussion will be forgiveness. What does it mean to forgive? Does it require the cooperation of both parties? Does the relationship return to its original closeness? Bring your questions and thoughts to Johnny Pizzas, and we’ll have a rousing discussion on what it means to forgive.

Mark your calendars, May 4 we will have a Ministry Fair at St. Mary’s. The goal is to bring more awareness to the many ministries at St. Mary’s, and also offer people an opportunity to join ministries they may be interested in.
This leads me to my next point: how do you start a ministry at St. Mary’s? It really is not difficult. If there is a program, ministry or activity you would like to see at St. Mary’s, please come to me and we’ll talk about how to make it happen. There is no secret gatekeeping to get through. If you have an idea, let’s talk!

On the topic of new ministries (or continuing ministries), Carol invites you to come and talk about Movies at St. Mary’s on Sunday, March 2. She is looking for people who are willing to pre-screen the movies, help with technology and advertising. I am very excited to see this ministry return to St. Mary’s.

March 2 is also the last Sunday before Lent, which means that we will have pancakes at Coffee Hour. Bring an appetite and enjoy one last splurge before we enter into the Lenten season.

Speaking of Lent, please mark your calendars:
March 5 – Ash Wednesday Service at 9 a.m. (Chapel) and 7 p.m. (Church)
March 12 – Living Compass Class (Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit) at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel
March 12 – Soup & Substance begins, 5 p.m. Evening Prayer, 5:30 p.m. Soup Dinner, 6 p.m. Class (Entering the Passion of Jesus)
April 13 – Palm Sunday and Interactive Holy Week and Easter Egg Hunt
April 17 – Agape Meal at 6 p.m.

Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
