Thank you to Mary-Beth and everyone else who stepped in last Sunday to manage worship. It is the goal that a parish can function without a priest (after all, you all will hopefully be at St. Mary’s longer than any priest), but I appreciate you all stepping forward and making it work. I’m also doing my best to heal and recover for next week.
This Sunday is busy! We have Bible Study on the Gospel of Luke at 9 a.m. in the Library. We also have our annual clean up Sunday following both services. Wear your work clothes to church and stay after the service to complete a task or two. No special skill is needed, just a little time and willingness to help. Many hands make light work, plus refreshments will be provided, so please join us!
I am in search of some more Coffee Hour hosts. These are the people who make coffee on Sundays and provide some snacks for our fellowship time. While I know several of our hosts make a truly inspirational spread, the job of host need not be so comprehensive. Coffee alone would be enough. If you are willing to sign up, please let me or Lynn know.
Keep sending in those names of graduates so we can celebrate them on May 25. Whether they are graduating from pre-school, a certificate program, college or graduate school, we want to recognize their achievement and pray for their success!
Finally, this Sunday is your last chance to sign up to carpool to Father Ryan’s Celebration of New Ministry! The service starts at 6 p.m. in Lake Geneva, so do plan to leave by 4:45 p.m. or so. I’ll group people into cars and send out contact information next Monday so you can coordinate.
Prayers and Blessings,
Mother Pippa
